Individual Canine Fitness Training Sessions
We offer one-on-one Canine Fitness Training sessions for dogs of all ages and stages. Sometimes dogs or their owners require individual attention and gym time to get started with Canine Fitness Training, or to achieve tough goals set in a group class. We also offer Programs for specific goals. Contact us today to get started!
Step One
Initial Intake, Evaluation and Assessment The first step in Canine Fitness Training is to determine your dog's fitness level, limitations, and goals. If you'd like to track physical changes in your dog's body throughout the process, measurements will also be taken at the evaluation. Typically the evaluation takes 60-90 minutes but varies depending on the dog. Step Two
Individual Program Creation Next, we develop a personalized Canine Fitness Training program for your dog. We take into account every aspect of your dogs current abilities, limitations, future goals, and individual needs. Once we have prepared your dog's program we set up a time for their first workout. Step Three
First Workout Your dog's first workout will be done in-gym. During the workout, we will teach you how to continue working your dog's program at home with the proper form. Generally, the first workout takes about 60 minutes. Step Four
Continued Work (at home or at Canine Strong) After the first workout, you will be asked to continue the program with your dog at your own pace. This work can be done from home or you can schedule Supervised Fitness Sessions (with assistance from a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer) or Unsupervised Fitness Sessions at our facility. After a designated time frame you and your dog will come back in for a re-assessment. Step Five
Reassessment After a period of working with your dog at home or in our gym, you may return for a reassessment. We prefer to do reassessments in-gym, but virtual options may be available as well. During the reassessment we will adjust your dogs program to ensure continued progress toward their existing goal, or even new goals they've developed throughout their program. |
